Golf is 95% mental and 5% physical. Let Golf Performance Center help you open your mind to new awareness (change after text is written).
Bobby Jones was right on target when he said that “golf is a game that is played on a five-inch course – the distance between your ears.” The field of Performance Psychology has grown in response to the mental challenges which await athletes during high-pressure situations. For golfers, especially, getting into “the zone” can only occur with the right mindset.
In his book, “The MindSide Manifesto: The Urgency to Create a Competitive Mindset,” Dr. Bhrett McCabe delves into how emotions, feelings, and thoughts can diminish potential and what is needed by the brain to construct a winning attitude.
“Fears, doubts and desires,” said McCabe, “can never be managed by another – only by you.” You, in other words, determine your own destiny.
At the Golf Performance Center, instructors not only help you to improve the physical aspects of your swing but also guide you to remove the mental hurdles which hinder your ability to score.
Eighteen holes is a long walk with no distractions – we will advise you on how to better understand what is hampering your success and create a plan to remove those mental hurdles and replace them with positive reinforcement.
